There are many integral cogs that make the Earle Brown machine run smoothly: planners, chefs, office assistants – but perhaps one of the most important (especially in the spring) is the woman who tends to our beautiful landscaping: Sharon Norenberg.
We sat down with Sharon and asked her a few questions about her position at Earle Brown Heritage Center:

Explain a day in the life working at Earle Brown:
It’s an absolutely dirty, filthy job, but I love what I do and look forward to it every day. Whether I work inside cleaning or outside gardening, my reward comes from all the compliments and appreciation given by our clients.
What is your favorite meal at Earle Brown Heritage Center?
Vegetarian Chili
What is the most “out-there” thing your job has had you do?
It never fails; when I am outside tending to the garbage cans, I can always anticipate that my little friends – the squirrels – will pop out of the can and scare me to death!
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
Having fun with my kids–especially the grandkids
What is something people might not know about you?
I’m a true local and have lived in Brooklyn Center since age 5.

Daylilies–Cream colored, not yellow
